Why do you make music? Do you make music because you love it, because it’s your legacy, because you can’t go without it or do you make music for financial gain, fame, notoriety?
The music industry has evolved into quite the circus of pop-up musicians and overnight sensations but that was inevitable with us subsisting in a technological era. It would have happened in previous eras as well if they had the technology but they didn’t - we do.
If you are a genuine musician you make music because you have to, it’s innate to your being. Music is inescapable to those who love it. However, music is like a lover, you have ups and downs, highs and lows, break ups and reunitings - it’s a love-hate thing.
